Jaxson Dart — 2026 Fantasy Outlook

Dart elevated his game each season at Mississippi, capping his tenure by pacing the SEC in completion rate (69.3%), passing yards (4,279), yards per attempt (10.8), and passer rating (180.7). He went 21-5 over his final two seasons, including victories in two bowl games.

Before transferring, Dart spent his freshman year at USC in 2021, starting three of six appearances. Across four college seasons, he compiled 11,970 passing yards, 81 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions. Pass rushers brought him down 74 times — including 27 and 28 sacks in his final two years — though he offset that with a dynamic ground game, carrying 393 times for 1,541 yards and 14 scores.

Dart is a three-level thrower capable of attacking every area of the field, with the athleticism to turn broken plays into chunk gains with his legs. He runs with shiftiness and physicality, giving him legitimate red-zone and goal-line upside as a scorer. As a passer, he operates with natural timing and shows the savvy to manipulate a deep safety with his eyes.

The areas that need work are throwing to the sidelines while on the move and maintaining velocity and accuracy when pressured. He'll also need to develop better answers for defenses that station a safety over the top to neutralize his deep ball.

Over his first seven starts for the Giants, Dart posted over 20.00 fantasy points in each matchup (20.95, 20.60, 25.55, 32.25, 21.35, 29.15, and 29.70) in four-point passing touchdown formats, showcasing his high floor and explosiveness. He scored seven times on the ground over this span. On the downside, Dart picked up a hamstring injury in late September while missing some time later in the year with a concussion. His season ended with three more winning fantasy days (25.60, 27.15, and 22.70) over his final four starts.

Despite rookie success, Dart must improve his decision-making in his runs and avoid hard hits via sacks. He gained only 6.7 yards per attempt with weakness in his completion rate (63.7%). His rushing stats (86/487/9 – 5.7 yards per carry) accounted for 37.8% of his fantasy points.

In the offseason, New York upgraded their starting tight end (Isaiah Likely) while also adding multiple fliers/options at wide receiver (Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Odell Beckham). They lost Wan’Dale Robinson to free agency, but a healthy Malik Nabers will more than make up for that loss.

If he stays upright for 17 games, his next step should be 4,200 combined yards with 30+ touchdowns. Dart is a viable QB1 cheat, but I would make sure to also roster a strong second quarterback option just in case he takes another bad hit. I’m very interested in him this year based on his early price point.
