Tua Tagovailoa — 2026 Fantasy Outlook

Despite lingering concussion concerns heading into 2023, Tagovailoa turned in his most complete season to date, appearing in all 17 games for the first time in his career. He set personal bests across the board (4,624 passing yards, 29 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions), largely sustaining the pace he had established the year before. His finish to the year left something to be desired. Over his final three games, he averaged just 203 passing yards while throwing four touchdowns against five interceptions, a skid that tempered an otherwise strong campaign.

His 2024 season brought fresh promise and familiar frustration. His completion rate climbed to a career-high 72.9%, yet his yards per attempt slipped from 8.3 to 7.2, suggesting a more conservative approach or a less explosive supporting cast. Tagovailoa found the end zone in all 11 of his starts, but he topped two touchdown passes in only two of those outings (288/3 and 317/4). His best stretch came between Weeks 11 and 14, when he averaged 325 passing yards with a 75.1% completion rate, flashing the form that makes him so difficult to dismiss. But again, health undermined consistency; an early-season concussion cost him four games, and a hip injury shut him down over the final two weeks, limiting him to just 11 starts on the year.

Tagovailoa lost more quarterback luster in 2025, leading to a three-year low in his completion rate (67.7%) and yards per pass attempt (6.9) with a career-high in interceptions (15). He passed for over 300 yards in one game (315/2) while offering playable value in two other matchups (256/3 and 205/4). The Dolphins attempted 25 passes or fewer in seven of his starts, resulting in under 180 passing yards in six matchups. Tagovailoa was benched for the Dolphins’ final three games.
