Matthew Hibner — 2026 Fantasy Outlook

Shawn's rank: TE41Bye 13Updated July 30, 2026

Analysis by Shawn Childs, from his 2026 guide — his words, unedited.

Over his final two seasons in college at SMU, Hibner caught 55 passes for 804 yards and eight touchdowns while gaining an impressive 14.6 yards per catch. His career ended with three productive showings (4/58, 5/87/1, and 2/85), which was also the case in 2024 (3/108/1, 0/0, 3/35/1, 5/48/1, 5/69/1, and 2/38). The Mustangs gave him 20 starts over his final 27 games.

Hibner ran a 4.57 40-yard dash at the 2026 NFL Combine, while grading well in the bench press (28 reps of 225 lbs.). He brings vision and patience to the NFL table, but his route tempo is more built on long-range gas rather than rhythmic route running with separation quickness. His blocking skill set starts in a good place, which should lead to some sneaky, easy catches when the Ravens run some plays for Hibner.
