Jahan Dotson — 2026 Fantasy Outlook

Dotson flashed promise early in his rookie campaign, earning WR2 snaps in three of his first four games and making the most of them (12 catches for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 22 targets). A hamstring injury derailed that momentum, sidelining him from Week 5 through Week 9 and effectively killing his rhythm. He returned to three straight forgettable outings (1/14, 1/16, and 0/0) before finding his rhythm again over his final five starts, turning in consistently solid work (5/54/1, 4/105/1, 6/76/1, 3/37, and 3/72) to close the year on a positive note.

The expectation heading into 2023 was a natural step forward. Instead, Dotson never developed any chemistry with Washington's revolving door at quarterback, and the numbers reflected it (49 catches for 518 yards and four touchdowns on 83 targets across all 17 games). His first seven weeks were particularly lean, producing just 22 catches for 183 yards and one score on 39 targets. He offered back-to-back glimpses of his potential in Week 8 (8/108/1) and Week 9 (4/69/1), only for another zero the following week to gut fantasy rosters.

Dotson’s final seven starts were equally uninspiring, totaling just 15 catches for 158 yards and one touchdown on 24 targets. The opportunity was never the issue — Washington had him on the field for 82.2% of their snaps and handed him a WR2 role or better in all 17 games. His production never matched his usage.

A late-August trade to Philadelphia in 2024 buried him further down the depth chart. Dotson suited up for 16 of 17 games but operated as a WR3 throughout, with Jalen Hurts rarely looking his way (just 12 catches for 122 yards on 22 targets all season). A Week 18 cameo offered a reminder of what he can do when given a real opportunity, catching 7 of 11 targets for 94 yards with Philadelphia's starters resting. The playoffs brought little consolation, as the Eagles called his number just five times across two games (1/11/1 and 2/42), closing the book on a frustrating chapter in his career.

Dotson was again a non-factor in 2025. He caught 50% of his 36 targets, leading to 262 yards and one score. His only playable game came in Week 8 (1/40/1).
