Elijah Arroyo — 2026 Fantasy Outlook

Injuries limited Arroyo to a minimal role during his first three seasons at Miami (11/163/1), with a torn right ACL in 2022 and a lingering knee issue the following year keeping him off the field for extended stretches. He finally got a chance to show what he could do in his final season in college (35 catches for 590 yards and seven touchdowns at 16.9 yards per reception). Consistent volume was hard to come by even then, with only four games producing more than three catches (4/89, 6/79, 5/44/1, and 4/64/1).

His knee history was the first thing any NFL team needed to weigh on draft day. Beyond that, his release off the line and the overall foundation of his route running are legitimate concerns heading into the NFL. One thing that does show up on tape is his awareness as a receiver. Arroyo keeps his eyes downfield and locates throwing windows naturally. He'll need to develop as a blocker to carve out consistent playing time at the next level, and his build (6'4" and 235 lbs.) sits closer to a big slot receiver than a traditional in-line tight end.

What the highlights do show is a player who can be dangerous in space. Arroyo’s elusive after the catch when targeted near the line of scrimmage, and when defenses give him room past the second level, he has the speed to turn those opportunities into big plays. Under different circumstances (without the knee concerns), Arroyo would be a more exciting tight end prospect for a team already stocked at quarterback and receiver. Seattle respected his game enough to draft him in the second round last year.

In his rookie season, Arroyo caught 15 of his 26 targets for 179 yards and one score. His only playable game (2/29/1) came in Week 9. As painted in his college resume, a knee issue cost him the final four games of the regular season, along with two contests in the playoffs.
