Cooper Kupp — 2026 Fantasy Outlook

Shawn's rank: WR69Bye 11Updated July 30, 2026

Analysis by Shawn Childs, from his 2026 guide — his words, unedited.

Kupp's 2021 season stands alone in NFL history. His final line — 145 catches (second all-time behind Michael Thomas's 149 in 2019), 1,947 yards (second all-time behind Calvin Johnson's 1,964 in 2012), and 16 touchdowns — produced 440.0 fantasy points. He averaged 11.2 targets per game, hauled in 30 receptions of at least 20 yards, and nine more that went for 40-plus. Los Angeles gave him double-digit targets in 16 of 20 games, including the playoffs, and Kupp scored at least two touchdowns in six matchups. Eight outings crossed the 30-point threshold in PPR formats (37.30, 30.60, 34.00, 37.60, 31.30, 34.70, 32.30, and 37.20), and he dipped below 17.00 fantasy points just once. Kupp topped 100 receiving yards 12 times and held a floor of seven catches in 17 games.

He picked up right where he left off in 2022, going nuclear over the first eight weeks (72/813/6 — 25.06 FPPG) and pacing toward 153 catches, 1,728 yards, and 13 touchdowns before a right high-ankle sprain ended his season in Week 9. Even with a partial season, Kupp ranked 23rd in wide receiver PPR scoring (200.50) and delivered five standout performances (13/128/1, 11/108/2, 14/122, 7/125/1, and 8/127/1). His one blemish was a meaningful drop in yards per catch — from 13.4 in 2021 down to 10.8.

A hamstring injury suffered in early August 2023 cost him the first four games of the regular season. He looked like himself in Weeks 5 and 6 (8/118 and 7/148/1) before going cold for five straight games (2/29, 4/21, 2/48, 1/11, and 3/18), doing real damage to fantasy rosters. The Rams brought him back into their receiving fold from Week 13 through Week 17 (28/314/3), capped by back-to-back strong outings (8/115/1 and 8/111/1).

His 2024 season was hard to make sense of. Kupp exploded out of the gate in Week 1 (14/120/1 on 21 targets) with Nacua sidelined, then suffered another ankle injury in Week 2 (4/37, 52% of snaps) that kept him out of the starting lineup until Week 8 — right as Nacua came back. Over the six games that followed, he was productive in five of them (11/104, 7/80, 6/106/2, 8/60/1, and 5/92/1), only to get phased out over the next four weeks (0/0, 3/24, 1/29, and 1/29 on just 10 combined targets) before sitting out Week 18. Despite the inconsistency, the Rams gave him WR1 snap counts in seven of his final eight appearances.

The hope of Kupp regaining his previous form with Seattle never materialized. Across his 19 games (including the postseason), he caught only 62 passes for 750 yards and three touchdowns on 93 targets. His catch rate (66.7%) held form, but 4.9 targets per game didn’t pay the fantasy bills. Kupp gained 20 yards or more on eight catches. He scored double-digit fantasy points in only seven matchups (7/90, 6/59, 2/40/1, 2/35/1, 5/60, 4/36/1, and 6/12), with the last three coming in the postseason. He finished 53rd in PPR scoring (118.30).
