Zachariah Branch — 2026 Fantasy Outlook

Branch spent two productive seasons at USC before Georgia decided to make him a focal point of their offense. His growth was steady — 31 catches for 390 yards and three touchdowns in his first year, followed by 47 catches for 520 yards and two scores in his second. The Bulldogs rewarded that trajectory with a larger role in 2025, and Branch delivered, leading the SEC with 81 receptions while adding 811 yards and six touchdowns.

A possession receiver label fits — his career yards-per-catch average of 10.3 reflects a player who wins underneath and creates after the catch rather than one stretching the field vertically. Branch reliability was on full display down the stretch, as he logged at least five catches in eight of his final nine starts, highlighted by five particularly sharp outings (9/57, 8/71, 10/112, 8/68, and 8/67/1). He also found the end zone in each of his final three college games, closing his career on a high note.

At 5'9" and 175 pounds, Branch is undersized, but his athletic profile more than compensates. He ran a 4.35 40-yard dash and posted 20 reps of 225 pounds at the NFL Combine, a combination of speed and functional strength that catches evaluators' attention. Georgia leaned into his skills by deploying him heavily at or near the line of scrimmage, where his acceleration and open-field instincts allowed him to turn short catches into chunk gains and touchdowns.

The comp that comes to mind is Wan'Dale Robinson — a slot weapon who owns the underneath zones while keeping defenders honest enough that Branch can exploit any cushion downfield. The areas to watch as he develops are his route running within the first 10 yards and a catch radius that leaves little margin for error on off-target throws.
