Tyrone Tracy — 2026 Fantasy Outlook

Tracy spent four seasons at Iowa as a wide receiver without making much of a dent (66 catches for 871 yards and five touchdowns across his time there) before transferring to Purdue. His first year with the Boilermakers was a transitional one, totaling 336 combined yards and 28 receptions while failing to find the end zone. The coaching staff moved him to running back ahead of his second season, and the position change unlocked something. Tracy responded with 113 carries for 716 yards and eight touchdowns, adding 19 catches for 132 yards. He saved his best for late in the year, putting up 174 combined yards with two touchdowns in Week 9 and following that with 198 combined yards and a score on four catches in Week 10.

As a prospect, Tracy is most dangerous when he has room to operate. His wide receiver background gives him natural hands and route feel out of the backfield, and he's willing to run between the tackles. His ceiling rises considerably when given space on the perimeter. The next developmental hurdle is learning to win in tighter run lanes, where instincts and patience matter more than athleticism. His experience returning kicks adds a layer of roster utility at the next level.

Tracy's rookie year in New York was a tale of two stretches. He barely factored into their offense across his first four games (12 carries for 29 yards with four catches for 41) before taking over as the Giants' starter for the following six weeks. That run produced 592 combined yards, three touchdowns, 14 receptions, and three 100-yard performances (18/129, 20/145/1, and 18/103/1). His full-season numbers landed in respectable but unspectacular territory: 85 rushes for 294 yards at 3.5 per carry, 20 catches for 167 yards, and three total touchdowns, good for 12.10 PPR fantasy points per game.

Tracy opened last season with three poor showings (22/68/0 – 3.1 yards per carry with eight catches for 54 yards), followed by two missed games with a shoulder injury. His stats over his next four games (28/109/1 with five catches for 33 yards) were blocked by the success of Cam Skattebo. Tracy hit his RB1 stride in the Giants’ offense over New York’s final eight matchups (126/563/1 with 23 catches for 201 yards and two touchdowns – 14.68 PPR fantasy points per game). New York gave him 18.6 touches per game down the stretch. His top fantasy value came in Week 15 (24.70) and Week 18 (28.90).
