Konata Mumpfield — 2026 Fantasy Outlook

Shawn's rank: WR113Bye 11Updated July 30, 2026

Analysis by Shawn Childs, from his 2026 guide — his words, unedited.

Mumpfield began his college career at Akron, where he caught 63 of his 100 targets for 751 yards and eight scores. Over the next three seasons with the Pittsburgh Panthers, his play fell into a complementary role (58/551/1, 44/576/5, and 52/813/5 over 36 games. He gained over 100 receiving yards six times in his college career (2021 – 6/106/2, 10/109, and 11/122/2, and 2024 – 5/123/2, 3/111, and 8/144/1).

Los Angeles added Mumpfield in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He brings an undersized profile (5’11” and 185 lbs.) with below-average wide receiver speed (4.59 40-yard dash at the NFL combine). His route running needs work, and his opportunity projects to come over the first two levels of defenses. Mumpfield should get better with coaching due to his open-field reads and value after the catch.

In his rookie season, the Rams gave Mumpfield WR4 snaps, but he caught only 10 of his 23 targets for 92 yards and one score.
