For fantasy game managers willing to gamble, Watson checks the winning boxes in big plays and scoring. Unfortunately, his injury risk, paired with his boom-or-bust profile (25 games with under 10.00 fantasy points and nine games with more than 20.00 fantasy points), could make him challenging to time for the antsy lineup decisions.

Watson's 2022 season was a medical ordeal before it even began. He arrived at camp with a knee injury and subsequently dealt with a hamstring problem, a concussion, and a hip issue, missing three games over the first seven weeks. His first six appearances were largely forgettable (10 catches for 88 yards on 14 targets with three carries for 19 yards, and one score). Things turned around in a four-game stretch from Week 10 to Week 14, where Watson put up four impactful outings in a row (4/107/3, 4/48/2, 4/110/1, and 3/48/1). He carried that momentum through the end of the season, catching 31 of 52 targets for 523 yards and seven touchdowns over the final eight games at an impressive 16.9 yards per reception.
Injuries derailed what could have been a breakout 2023. A hamstring issue kept him out of the first three games, and Watson managed 28 catches for 422 yards and five scores across nine contests from Week 4 through Week 13, with his two best showings coming on back-to-back weeks (5/94/1 and 7/86/2). Another hamstring injury ended his season with five games remaining. Even in his eight games with a starting role, he averaged only 6.1 targets per game.
Watson appeared in 15 games, a career high, but it ended on a painful note when he tore his ACL in his right knee in Week 18, requiring surgery in early January. An ankle issue also cost him Week 5. His fantasy value was concentrated in just three games (3/68/1, 4/150, and 4/114), and Green Bay used him primarily as a deep threat, where he averaged 21.4 yards per catch. His limitations were familiar; only two touchdowns and a low catch rate (54.7%) continued to cap his week-to-week reliability.
A slow recovery from his knee surgery led to Watson sitting out the first six games of 2025. After three low target games (4/85, 2/58, and 2/45), his fantasy reached a playable level across five (4/46/2, 5/49, 4/80/1, 4/89/1, and 5/113/1) of his last seven starts. Despite his success, Green Bay gave him six targets or fewer in eight matchups. After a rest game in Week 18, Watson scored again in the postseason (3/36/1).
